Plain version: run your league's draft order competition, don't abuse the service, and if you pay us and aren't happy, ask for your money back.
The Proving Ground ("the Service", "we", "us") is a web application at theprovingground.app that lets a fantasy sports league decide its draft order with a competition instead of a random draw. The Service is operated by an individual sole proprietor ("the Operator"). By using the Service you agree to these Terms.
You must be 18 or older to create an account or make a purchase. League members who join a competition through a shared link do not create accounts and must be 13 or older. If you are the commissioner, you are responsible for who you share your competition link with.
Only the person organizing a competition ("the commissioner") creates an account, using an email address and password. You are responsible for keeping your password secure and for everything that happens under your account. Tell us promptly if you believe your account has been accessed by someone else.
League members join by opening a shared link and entering a name. That identity is stored in their browser. Clearing browser data or switching devices may end their ability to resume an attempt in progress, and elapsed time on a running clock is not refunded or reset.
Competitions on The Proving Ground are games of skill played to determine draft position. The Service does not accept, hold, transfer, or pay out wagers, entry fees, stakes, or prizes of any kind. It does not organize gambling and is not a betting platform. Anything your league does with money among yourselves is entirely your own business and none of ours.
The Service is not affiliated with, endorsed by, or connected to any professional football league, team, broadcaster, or the Wonderlic assessment or its owners. Our test is composed of original questions written for this Service.

We may suspend or remove accounts, competitions, or participants that break these rules, without refund where the breach is serious.
Some features are paid. All purchases are one-time payments, not subscriptions. Nothing on the Service auto-renews and there is nothing to cancel.
Prices are in US dollars and shown before you pay. Payments are processed by Stripe; we never receive or store your card number. We may change prices at any time, but a change never affects a purchase you already made.
Refunds are covered by our Refund Policy, which forms part of these Terms.
You keep ownership of the names, league names, and other content you enter. You grant us permission to store and display it as needed to operate the Service — for example, showing your display name on your league's leaderboard and results page.
Results pages are shared by unguessable link. Anyone holding that link can see the standings, so treat it as semi-public and only share it with your league.
The Service, its design, its code, and its question bank belong to the Operator. You may not copy or redistribute them. The runner game includes third-party code used under the BSD 3-Clause license, with its license and copyright notices retained in the source.
We aim to keep the Service running but provide no uptime guarantee. We may change, suspend, or discontinue any part of it, including free features. If we permanently shut down a paid feature you have purchased and you have not substantially used it, contact us and we will refund it.
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied, including merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted, timely, secure, or error-free, or that any competition result will be free of defects.
Draft order outcomes are final as produced by the Service. We are not responsible for disputes within your league about those outcomes.
To the maximum extent permitted by law, the Operator will not be liable for indirect, incidental, special, consequential, or punitive damages, or for lost profits, data, or goodwill, arising from your use of the Service. Our total liability for any claim relating to the Service is limited to the greater of the amount you paid us in the twelve months before the claim, or twenty US dollars ($20).
Some jurisdictions do not allow certain limitations, in which case the limitations above apply to the fullest extent permitted.
You agree to indemnify and hold the Operator harmless from claims arising out of your misuse of the Service or your breach of these Terms.
You may stop using the Service at any time and may request deletion of your account and data (see the Privacy Policy). We may suspend or terminate access for breach of these Terms. Sections 8 through 12 survive termination.
We may update these Terms. The "last updated" date above will change, and material changes will be announced on the site. Continuing to use the Service after a change means you accept the updated Terms.
These Terms are governed by the laws of the state in which the Operator resides, without regard to its conflict-of-law rules. Any dispute will be brought in the state or federal courts located there, and you consent to that jurisdiction.
